Revolution

Tall tales, stripped of voice,

A species strong but weak,

Caging the innocent,

Slaughtering the meek,

How can it be?

The devastation vast,

Still I see,

Watching like a hawk,

Death breathed at every corner,

Restaurants draped with pain,

Blood under your fingertips,

Knife in hand,

No lamb deserves this,

No pig ever hurt another,

All life deserves redemption,

There's too much devastation,

For my heart,

your heart;

Open your eyes,

See the way,

Life lived freely,

Let's others do the same.
